Veteran journalist-cum politician, Dele Momodu has made a new claim.
According to him, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is the only Nigerian politician who can challenge President Bola Tinubu.
Momodu claimed every other politician, including the Labour Party’s candidate in the 2023 presidential elections, Peter Obi, cannot face Tinubu.
He also claimed that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, would be dumped by President Tinubu after he was done using him.
Speaking in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Momodu said, “Atiku is the only one today who is not afraid of Tinubu. Every other person cannot face him, including Mr Peter Obi that was used by Atiku [in 2019].
“Wike, I have no doubts, they [the presidency] will use him and dump him.”
On why he’s not supporting President Tinubu despite helping him in the past, Dele Momodu said, “Yes, he helped me in the past but I have also done a lot for him before. He’s a very kindhearted, generous person but politics?
“I cannot stand anything that suggests that your word is law and nobody dares challenging it. Even Baba Awolowo, people argued with him.”
