At the resumed hearing on Tuesday, Justice Simon Aboki accepted the new exhibits as the prosecution counsel, Raymond Umaru, introduced a police officer as a fresh witness in the case.

The Nasarawa State High Court in Lafia has admitted seven new exhibits in the ongoing trial of 32-year-old singer Oluwatimileyin Daniel Ajayi, who is accused of murdering Salome Adaidu, a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member.

At the resumed hearing on Tuesday, Justice Simon Aboki accepted the new exhibits as the prosecution counsel, Raymond Umaru, introduced a police officer as a fresh witness in the case.

The officer submitted key pieces of evidence, including a mobile phone used to record six polythene bags containing the dismembered remains of the deceased, as well as her severed head—items reportedly discovered in the defendant’s bathroom and bedroom.

Following the review of the exhibits, Justice Aboki adjourned the session until noon to allow the witness to play the recorded video evidence before the court.

So far, the prosecution has presented four witnesses, as chilling details continue to emerge in the high-profile case.
