Popular social media critic Martins Otse aka Verydarkman has slammed President Bola Tinubu over his decision to declare a state of emergency in Rivers State.
He also questioned the role of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike in Tinubu's decision-making process.
Recall that Tinubu on Tuesday announced the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy Ngozi Odu, and all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for six months.
Reacting in a video on Instagram, VDM asked: “Who is really the president of Nigeria?”
He went further to suggest that Wike was behind the nomination of Ibas, further fueling speculations that the former Rivers governor is positioning himself for a future presidential bid in 2032.
He went ahead to slam Governor Fubara for rebelling against Wike without a solid political strategy, suggesting that the governor’s lack of preparation led to his current predicament.
“Who is really the president of Nigeria? why must Nyesom Wike gets whatever he wants, how can they do this, suspend a sitting governor for 6months, chase him out of the government house,” VDM said in part.
