Shehu Sani spoke after Dare provided a breakdown in response to a comment by Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume, that Tinubu’s appointments were lopsided.
Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has stated that Yorubas and Northerners dominate the list of President Bola Tinubu’s political appointments.
He stated this in a post on X.
Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare had shared the list of political appointees made by the president.
Giving a breakdown, Dare said Tinubu appointed 71 Northerners and 63 Southerners from the 134 federal appointments.
Dare provided the breakdown in response to a comment by Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume, that Tinubu’s appointments were lopsided.
Stressing that Tinubu’s appointments were sectional, Ndume said they fell short of federal character principles.
Responding, Dare insisted that Tinubu’s appointments followed the federal character principles.
However, Sani posted on X: “A list is shared online with the names of political appointees and their tribes. The Yorubas and the Northerners dominate the list.
“If you are so passionate about the tribal identity of political appointees, please quickly enter into the office of your tribesmen in office and get a job or contract.”
