Panic As Gunmen Reportedly Kidnap 13 In Enugu Community

Enugu media personality, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 said one of the victims include Maurice Osmond, his son and another child.

Suspected kidnappers have reportedly abducted 13 individuals in the Ibagwa Agu community, located in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Enugu media personality, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 said one of the victims include Maurice Osmond, his son and another child.

“On Saturday 12th April more than 13 people from Ibagwa-Ani in Nsukka local govt were kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Ibagwa Agu community in Nsukka Local Government Area,” he wrote.
     
"According to their people, some are covering their faces while some aren't. Those ones covering their faces are insiders while those who are not covering their faces are pure Fulanis.
     
"These pictures here are some of the victims including Maurice Osmond who had come home with his son for the transition exam into St. John’s Secondary School, was kïdnapped along the road to Agu Ibagwa-Ani while heading to see his in-laws.
     
"This little boy was also taken with him till this moment. They are calling for ransom of 10 million each.
     
"Who is who from Ibagwa Ani community and Nsukka local govt have refused to write about it since Saturday because they are afraid that most of these kidnappers are also online too and on Facebook reading and following up.
     
“Until then stay safe.... Kidnappers and Fulani herdsmen have taken over Enugu North Senatorial Zone including Nsukka.”
