If a tweet posted by popular Lagos radio station, Cool FM is anything to go by, then Chocolate City has just lost one of its front-line acts and it's no other than the multiple award-winning rapper, Ice Prince Zamani.

The 'Aboki' crooner, who is currently promoting his new single 'Chike' featuring Mavin Raecord’s Korede Bello, visited CoolFM radio station few hours ago, and during the 'Midday Oasis' with Dotun and Temi, the rapper stated that his contract with Choc City expired two years ago, but due to his personal relationship with top management members of the label, he chose not to make it public.

The rapper added that he will be floating his own record label named, 'Super Cool Cats.' The radio station immediately tweeted the breaking story.

A quick check of Iceprince’s Twitter handle also revealed that he has updated his details to reflect his own new record label.

This unprecedented move comes as a surprise because Ice Prince and M.I moved up the ranks in Chocolate City, from artistes to record label executives, after former CEO Audu Maikori stepped down. While Ice Price became the vice president, M.I rose to the role of chief executive officer.
