The spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered a full-scale investigation into the incident.
The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the heinous m8rder of a businessman, Thomas Godwin alias Zamfara.
TORI reported that the 49-year-old man was beaten to d3ath by unknown assailants on Tuesday night, April 15, 2025.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered a full-scale investigation into the incident.
“The Adamawa State Police Command is deeply saddened to confirm the tragic k!lling of Mr. Thomas Godwin alias Zamfara, which occurred on the night of Tuesday, April 15, 2025,” the statement read.
"Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was attacked by unknown person(s) while returning home. He was reportedly beaten with sticks and clubs, resulting in his d3ath.
"The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, *CP Dankombo Morris PSC (+)* has Directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police Incharge of Investigation (DC SCID) to carry a full-scale investigation into the incident.
"Team of detectives has been deployed to conduct investigation and ensure that the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice.
“The Command while praying for the departed soul to rest in peace. urges members of the public to give useful information that will aid investigation.”
