Labour officials in Ibadan gathered en masse to stage another round of peaceful protest against the removal of subsidy and increase in the price of petrol.
Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC protest in Ibadan against the fuel price hike for the second day running after yesterday's impressive compliance from state civil servants in the ancient city was a fair success.
NLC and other anti-fuel hike groups are involved causing long traffic upset on the road. The protest started from the University of Ibadan school gate but with little student participation because the U.I students had already been sent home by the school management over an internal uprising.
The protesters progressed peacefully towards Mokola with heavy security presence to prevent the breakdown of law and order.
