How Two Peopled Were Found Dead And N*ked Inside Room After Alleged Food Poisoning In Kogi

The Kogi Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP William Ovye Aya, who confirmed the incident, said the command is currently investigating the matter.

Two individuals have reportedly died from suspected food poisoning in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The deceased were identified as Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama, both from Ankpa

According to sources, the deceased died in the early hours of Friday.

The Kogi Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP William Ovye Aya, who confirmed the incident, said the command is currently investigating the matter.

“It is a cost of sudden and unnatural death. Today at about 12:00 hours, one Salisu Ibrahim from Alo in Ankpa came to the station and reported that at about 09:31, his tenant one Sheriff Salifu, (deceased) did not come out of his room as usual.

“So, the brother to the deceased enter the room through the ceiling and met his brother Sheriff Salifu and one Blessing Adama of Ojogobi road Ankpa lying lifeless in the room. Both deceased were seen n*ked.

“The Divisional Police Officer in Ankpa detailed detectives and they moved to the scene were they saw the body, took photograph and took the deceased persons to the zonal hospital Ankpa before they were confirmed dead. They were also taken for postmortem examination.

“But the family of Sheriff requested that the body should be released to them. So, he has been buried according to Islamic rite while the remains of Blessing Adama are still deposited at the mortuary,”
he said.
