I Pay Over 70 Employees’ Salaries - Davido Says

The ‘Assurance’ hitmaker opened up about the scale of his business empire in a recent interview on Ride Along on Darryl Vega TV.

David Adeleke, the world-famous, Grammy-nominated Nigerian superstar, better known as Davido, has revealed that he employs and personally pays more than 70 workers across his global ventures.

The ‘Assurance’ hitmaker opened up about the scale of his business empire in a recent interview on Ride Along on Darryl Vega TV.

The 32-year-old singer, who recently released his fifth album ‘5ive,’ disclosed that his employees are both in Nigeria and across the world. He added that their “salaries are a lot”.

“I have local and international employees, the salary is a lot. I pay more than 70 to 80 people,” he said.

Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 after releasing ‘Dami Duro,’ the second single from his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’.

He also has delivered four other projects including ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time‘ (2020), and ‘Timeless’ (2023), ‘5ive’ (2025).

In December, Davido revealed that ‘5ive’ is “my story, my truth and my growth”.

“My people. The journey continues in 2025 with my new album ‘5IVE’. This is straight from the heart — my story, my truth and my growth,” he said.

Davido is also the founder of DMW, a record label established in April 2016.

The music label has served as home to a plethora of music talents such as Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo, DJ Ecool, B-Red, Logos Olori, May D and Moravey.

With several awards to his name, Davido has solidified himself as one of the leading artistes in Africa.
