A 1-year-old boy identified as Desmond Adewole has been crushed to death by a hit-and-run driver in Ekiti State.
The boy was k!lled by the driver said to be a worshiper who came to St Paul’s Anglican Church, Emure Ekiti during the Easter Sunday Service.
One of the members of the church, who craved anonymity, said the boy was found on the ground in a position that shows that he was mistakenly run over by a vehicle but the driver has not been identified.
The church member said the incident happened when the baby came out of the church unknowingly to look for his mother.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident said the matter would be thoroughly investigated.
