Nigerian actress and reality star, Annie Uwana Macaulay, left tongues wagging while she introduced herself at the just-concluded 2025 Headies Awards.
While introducing herself on stage, Annie almost slipped and said her former last name Idibia — linked to her marriage with music icon, 2Baba (formerly known as Tuface Idibia).
She however stopped herself midway, never completing the name, and instead proudly introduced herself by her maiden name, Macaulay.
The crowd immediately caught on, cheering loudly in support. Smiling, Annie responded with playful energy, shouting out to the crowd “hey my single ladies” — a move that felt like a clear reminder that she’s fully embracing her new chapter.
