A Nigerian caterer has cried out online after storming to an event only to realize it has been cancelled following a kidnap attempt on her client.
The lady took to her social media as handle, @cy_loves_food to cry out for help.
She revealed that although she had planned and prepared food for the occasion, her client narrowly escaped abduction while travelling to the venue.
The forced the event to be cancelled, with guests fleeing for safety over fears of insecurity.
In the caption accompanying the video, the caterer wrote:
“My client had a near-death experience with kidnappers. They took her phones, her money — everything she had. We had prepared almost ₦3 million worth of food. Most of it got spoiled. We gave some out.
“We were supposed to cater for her friends coming from Lagos, but they didn’t reach her village anymore because of fear. By the time we traveled back from Mbano to Owerri, 90% of the guests had left already.”
