A suspected generator thief has been nabbed in Welfare quarters street, Makurdi, Benue State.
The incident happened on Tuesday morning, April 29, 2025.
It was gathered that generators were stolen in the area on several occasions.
Most of the time, the residents noticed the theft when the generators stopped abruptly, plunging them into darkness.
Thinking that the fuel had exhausted, they would go to where the generators were mounted only to discover that they had been stolen.
“Another thief was caught this morning at Warfare Quarters Makurdi for stealing a generator. Luckily for him, the vigilantes were involved. He'll face serious punishment, but he'll receive a proper trial instead of Jungle,” a resident wrote.
