Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspects in connection with a series of armed robbery attacks along Layeni Ojo Road, Ajegunle.
The suspects, who were arrested by operatives of Layeni Division, are Azeez Anofi ‘m’ aged 25, a.k.a. Stainless and Damilare Obadia ‘m’, aged 25, had attempted to snatch a tricycle, popularly known as Keke Marwa.
Following the arrest, one locally made pistol and one expended cartridge were recovered from the suspects. Further investigation has commenced to arrest other suspects and recover other operational weapons.
Confirming their arrest to newsmen, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, while commending the swift response of the officers, urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police for appropriate action.
