Another major oil facility in the Niger Delta area has gone up in flames courtesy of yet to be identified militants.

Suspected Niger Delta militants on Friday launched a fresh attack on a gas pipeline in Warri, Delta State.

According to TheCable, the suspected militants blew up a section of the Escravos gas trunkline behind salvation city, near Ogbe-Ijoh in Warri South West local government area of the state.

The details on the attack are still sketchy but reports have it that it may not be far from the activities of the Niger Delta Avengers who have been blowing up major oil and gas pipelines in the region.

Recall, in February, all the four refineries were totally shut down because vandals disrupted the Shell Forcados export terminal pipeline and the Lagos-Escravos pipeline, throwing the nation into cyclical petrol shortages.
