The bus was said to be coming from Abuja en route to Otukpo when the gunmen, at about 8pm, intercepted the commercial vehicle and attacked the occupants, killing the driver and one other.
Two persons have been k!lled while four others were kidnapped after gunmen attacked a commercial bus along Adoka Otukpo road, in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State on Sunday, May 4.
The bus was said to be coming from Abuja en route to Otukpo when the gunmen, at about 8pm, intercepted the commercial vehicle and attacked the occupants, killing the driver and one other.
Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Otukpo Local Government, Maxwell Ogiri said;
“The vehicle was coming from Abuja to Otukpo and the majority of the passengers alighted in Adoka. Only six people remained in the vehicle and were intercepted along Adoka Otukpo road, two people were killed and four passengers were abducted.”
Ogiri mentioned that the matter has been reported to the police.
