Two Streetlight Cable Vandals Arrested In Lagos

Hundeyin said the suspects were caught vandalising streetlight cables along Ijegun-Jakande Road on Tuesday, May 6, during a patrol by officers attached to the Isheri Oshun Division.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two streetlight cable vandals, Jemilu Abdullahi and Samsondeen Isiaku.

The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known in a statement on Wednesday, May 7.
 
Hundeyin said the suspects were caught vandalising streetlight cables along Ijegun-Jakande Road on Tuesday, May 6, during a patrol by officers attached to the Isheri Oshun Division.

He further disclosed that the police are currently investigating the matter.
 
He wrote, “On the 6th of March, patrol officers of Isheri Oshun Division, Lagos, arrested two suspects, Jemilu Abdullahi and Samsondeen Isiaku, while vandalising streetlight cables at Ijegun/Jakande Road.

“The investigation is ongoing. They will be charged to court accordingly,”
the police spokesman added.
