Beverly Osu, the Nigerian actress and model, has sparked discussion on social media with her sharp take on the evolving fashion scene at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Comparing it to international standards, she tweeted: “While Cannes is setting boundaries by banning nudity and massive trains on the red carpet to refocus attention on actors and filmmakers, AMVCA is spiraling in the opposite direction.
"What was once a celebration of African cinematic excellence now looks like a masquerade parade.”
