A flyer posted by her colleague, Rita Edochie revealed that Nkechi will be laid to rest on Friday, May 23rd, 2025, in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The statement read: "With a heavy heart, I bring to you my sister-in-law, actress Nkechi Nweje’s official burial arrangement.
