Thief Caught After Using Fake Bank Alert to Buy N5m Cloth at Boutique

This was revealed in a post shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

 
A Nigerian man has been apprehended after buying a cloth worth N5 million at a boutique in Benin, Edo State with a fake bank alert.
 
A video shared on X showed the moment he was apprehended.
 
A video shared by @ChuksEricE showed the suspect being beaten and dragged on the floor by onlookers, with some slapping him.
 
A woman from the video could be seen revealing what the theif did.
 
Her words: “The guy is a criminal. He’s using juju. He came to buy clothes of ₦5m and used a fake alert.”
