Popular Female Musician Appointed Cultural Ambassador by the Ooni of Ife (Photos)

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has announced the appointment of Aralola Olamuyiwa aka Ara as a Cultural Ambassador of the Ife kingdom.

First accomplished Nigerian female talking drummer, Aralola Olamuyiwa also known as Ara, who has been in the game for over 25 years, has been appointed as a Cultural Ambassador of the Ife kingdom by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi 
 
According to the letter addressed to Ara, she was recognized for her cultural contribution to Ile Ife and Yoruba land as a whole. She would serve in that capacity as a promoter and preserver of the Talking drum for future generations.

She has also shown appreciation to the Ooni of Ife for the appointment through her social media accounts by writing:
 
"With deepest appreciation to my lord, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi for appointing me cultural ambassador of his kingdom, words fail me and I cannot thank you enough sir. This is all the encouragement i need to remain steadfast and continue to promote our culture i promise to make you even more proud , the entire Yoruba race and Nigeria.
