A female law student has shared her excitement after uncovering the legal consequences for men who marry under civil law and later take a second wife.

In a video that has now gone viral, the young lady said she just attended her family law class where her lecturer told her and her colleagues that under the law, any man who gets married in court and still goes ahead to pick a second wife is liable to seven years imprisonment.

The young lady, who couldn't hide her excitement at this discovery, however, mentioned that as a practising Muslim, having a court wedding would prevent her from having an Islamic wedding.
