In a post on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe said the “senseless agitations will destroy” the geo-political zone.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has kicked against the agitations for the actualization of Biafra as a sovereign state for Ndigbos.
He said the agitation is senseless.
Igbokwe stated this in a post on his official Facebook page.
He wrote, “I wrote the Book, IGBO: 25 Years After Biafra in 1995 they did not listen. I wrote IGBO: 50 Years After Biafra in 2020 they did not listen.
“I have written hundreds of articles that these senseless agitations will destroy SE they did not listen. I am done”.
Recall that Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB members are currently enforcing a compulsory sit-at-home in the region to mark the 2025 Biafra Day.
Several cities, including Umuahia, the capital city of Abia State, witnessed empty streets on Friday morning.
In many parts of the region, roads were virtually deserted except for occasional movements of tricycles and a few vehicles.
