Army Eliminates Notorious Terror Leader Abu Fatima In Borno

The elite troops reportedly infiltrated the terrorists’ enclave and engaged them in a fierce gunfight.

 
Notorious terrorist commander, Amir Abu Fatima has been eliminated.
 
He was eliminated by the Nigerian Army during a special operation in northern Borno State.
 
The operation, carried out in the early hours of Friday by Special Forces of the 19 Brigade, Sector 3, Operation Hadin Kai, targeted the Kukawa axis, a stronghold of terrorist elements operating around Lake Chad.
 
This was contained in a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Friday on X.
 
According to Makama, intelligence sources confirmed that the mission was a terrorist leader decapitation operation specifically aimed at neutralising Abu Fatima who had a ₦100 million bounty placed on his head.
 
The elite troops reportedly infiltrated the terrorists’ enclave and engaged them in a fierce gunfight.
 
According to the post, Abu Fatima was critically injured during the exchange and was captured alive.
 
However, he later died from excessive bleeding caused by gunshot wounds.

“In addition to the death of the terror kingpin, his second-in-command, bomb-makers, and several other fighters were also neutralised during the operation,” Makama wrote.
 
Military sources disclosed that a cache of arms and explosives wererecovered from the scene, including AK-47 rifles, loaded magazines, improvised explosive device (IED) materials, and other military-grade equipment.
