NECO Warns Public Over Fake Facebook Account Impersonating Registrar

This was disclosed in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Sunday by the Council’s Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr Azeez Sani.

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has disclaimed a fake Facebook account impersonating its Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, warning that the account is being used to scam unsuspecting members of the public.

This was disclosed in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Sunday by the Council’s Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr Azeez Sani.

“The Council wishes to alert the public to the existence of this fake Facebook account to prevent individuals from falling victim to these fraudsters,”
he said.

Meanwhile, Mr Sani confirmed that security agencies have been notified and appropriate action will be taken against those responsible for this fraudulent activity.
