EFCC Apprehends Three Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Uyo

Oyewale explained that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigations.

 
Three suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in Uyo by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
 
The suspects were arrested for alleged fraud.
 
The EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, in a release on Wednesday, said the suspects are currently being held at a facility of the commission in Uyo.
 
He said the suspects were arrested, on Wednesday, during an early morning sting operation at Mbierebe, Stadium Road, Akpasak Estate, and Oron Road, all in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
 
Oyewale explained that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigations.
 
He added, ‘Items recovered from them include: 4 mobile phones, a desktop computer, a laptop and 2 cars.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
