The Nigerian Navy Ship team has uncovered and dismantled a wellhead linked to pipelines used for crude oil theft.

The Nigerian navy made this fresh revelation in a post on its verified Facebook page.

It wrote: “On Wednesday, 4 June 2025, Nigerian Navy Ship NNS Pathfinder discovered and disconnected a wellhead connected to pipes for crude oil theft.

“Additionally, NNS Pathfinder patrol team discovered and deactivated 8 illegal refinery sites with 26 refining ovens, 30 reservoirs, and 32 dugout pits laden with large amounts of illegally siphoned crude oil and illegally refined AGO in Egbema, Rivers State.

“On Tuesday, 3 June 2025, Nigerian Navy Ship Delta discovered and deactivated 16 dug-out pits and several sacks laden with large amounts of stolen crude oil in Obodo Omadino community, Warri South-West LGA, Delta State.”
