UNIZIK Student Jumps to Death From 3-storey Building After Consuming Mkpuru Mmiri

The unnamed student jumped to his death after allegedly consuming hard drug called mkpuru mmiri.

 
A student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka has met an untimely death after jumping from a three-storey building.
 
The unnamed student jumped to his death after allegedly consuming hard drug called mkpuru mmiri.
 
The tragic incident occurred around 8:00 pm on Thursday at a lodge near Royal Kitchen junction, close to the school gate in Awka, Anambra State.
 
According to sources, the student had jumped from a three-storey building and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
 
According to residents, the student had consumed hard drugs (MKPURUMMIRI) before the incident.
 
Neighbors reported hearing a loud sound and later found the victim’s body lying in a pool of his own blood.
 
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the student’s roommate was also under the influence of the same substance, as he was found in an incoherent state in their room.
 
The roommate is currently in police custody and will be questioned once he stabilizes.
 
The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed, pending notification of his family.
 
Authorities are working to reach the family while investigations into the incident continue.
 
As of the time of filing this report, police or school authorities have yet to confirm the incident.
