The feud was sparked by Musk’s opposition to the Trump-backed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” tax and spending bill.

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has regretted his social media posts attacking United States President Donald Trump last week.

He made this known in a post on his X account on Wednesday.

Musk said: “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.”

Recall that the conflicts between both men dissolved a tight partnership that had propelled Musk to spearhead the budget-slashing Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, under Trump’s second administration.

The feud was sparked by Musk’s opposition to the Trump-backed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” tax and spending bill.

Musk had last week insisted that Trump would have lost the 2024 presidential election if it were not for him.

But last weekend, Musk had appeared to have deleted some of his social media posts that had contributed to the conflict with Trump including an update in which he had accused the US leader of being mentioned in the “files” of late sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The White House had however disputed the allegation.
