Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has turned to social media to highlight the differences in the reasons Igbo and Yoruba parents choose names for their children.

In his post, Okeke opined that Yoruba parents name their children based on hopes for the future of that child.

He then claimed the Igbos usually names their children due to pain, experience or turmoil the parents or family have endured before the arrival of that child.
