The attackers stormed the village on Thursday evening, shooting sporadically, killing several residents, injuring many others.
Many people have been feared killed by suspected bandits.
The violent attack took place at Yar Goje community in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
This was disclosed in a post on Friday by Bakatsine, a security analyst, on his X handle.
According to him, the attackers stormed the village on Thursday evening, shooting sporadically, killing several residents, injuring many others, and abducting an undisclosed number of people.
“Yesterday evening, bandits invaded Yar Goje community in Kankara LGA, Katsina State, shooting sporadically.
“They killed multiple people, injured many people and abducted several others peoples during the invasion,” Bakatsine wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, an official statement from security agencies or the Katsina State Police Command is yet to be released.
