Passengers Travelling in Sienna Bus Reportedly Kidnapped Along Abia Road

The occupants of the white Sienna bus were also, reportedly, marched into the bush by their kidnappers.

 
Kidnappers have abducted passengers of a Toyota Sienna bus at Akara area, along Umuahia -Uzuakoli- Isuikwuato road in Abia State.
 
Information gathered revealed that the the occupants of the white Sienna bus were also, reportedly marched into the bush by their kidnappers.
 
DailyPost reported that some indigenes of Isuikwuato local government area where the abduction took place, said the incident actually happened.
 
However, the identity of the kidnaped persons and where they were headed have not been established.
 
Meanwhile, a video shared on social media by a concerned individual, showed the abandoned Toyota Sienna bus on the road and some security agencies who arrived at the scene to search for the victims.
 
Messages sent to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Chinaka by DAILY POST on Wednesday, to confirm the attack on the passengers have not been responded at the time of filing this report.
 
Last week, Abia State Commissioner for Lands of Housing, Chaka Chukwumerije was attacked by unknown persons at Ezinnachi area of Okigwe while he was returning to Umuahia.
 
His car was riddled with bullets by his attackers but he survived the gun attack.
 
Isuikwuato and Umunnochi LGAs were under repeated bandits attack until the administration of Governor Alex Otti launched Operation Crush security team to sack the bandits from the areas.
