Just two weeks after meeting Afrobeats star Davido, legendary highlife musician Bright Chimezie has officially signed with Sony Music West Africa.

Announcing the development, it wrote “SMP is honored to announce the introduction of the Legendary and extraordinary Bright Chimezie into the family. The creator of the Zigma sound has joined the Sony Music Publishing (SMP) West Africa.”
Recall that Chimezie met with Davido in May, after Davido’s public acknowledgement that Chimezie’s album inspired his popular track ‘With You’ which features Omah Lay.
This development comes a few days after Davido former signee, Mayorkun disclosed that the singer helped him secure his deal with Sony Music.
