Advocacy group, Women For Change, in a statement on Monday, June 16, disclosed that the incident occurred in the couple's home.
Micaela Goeieman, a 27-year-old South African woman has been k!lled.
She was allegedly shot d3ad by her boyfriend, Thabiso Lethabo, in front of their 6-month-old baby.
She has now been laid to rest on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
Advocacy group, Women For Change, in a statement on Monday, June 16, disclosed that the incident occurred in the couple's home in Emndeni Extension 2, Soweto, on 4 June.
“It is alleged that the couple got into a heated argument before her boyfriend shot her in the head, k!lling her.
Lethabo, 34, allegedly called the police to the crime scene, where he later confessed to the murder. He was then arrested,” the statement read.
“Micaela leaves behind her 6-month-old baby and 7-year-old child. We are heartbroken over the loss of such a beautiful soul. Another sister was murdered. How many more until we declare GBV and femicide a National Disaster.”
