Reports alleged that the displaced persons camped at the Makurdi International Market have not been feeding well for days.
A woman, who is yet to be identified, and who is displaced from Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State reportedly collapsed from hunger on Thursday.
Reports alleged that the displaced persons camped at the Makurdi International Market have not been feeding well for days.
The woman, whose photo is currently circulating on the Internet, was, however, revived.
Angered by the development, the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, staged a protest in the area, calling on the government for immediate intervention.
They blocked the busy road near the Makurdi International Market, causing traffic gridlock in the area.
This is despite relief materials earlier donated to the people by individuals and organizations since the incident occurred.
