A jilted lover has meted out instant judgement on her ex-boyfriend by burning down his car for ending their relationship and cheating.

An angry woman has confessed to setting her ex-boyfriend's car ablaze for cheating. The woman admitted using a lighter fluid and a lighter to set her ex-boyfriend's car ablaze because he had been cheating on her.
The woman identified as Hopesy Henriquez, 18, of Clarksburg, is now facing charges of first-degree malicious burning, second-degree arson and malicious destruction of property.
According to WJLA, on May 10, around 3:30 a.m., police and firefighters were called to the 21100 block of Hickory Forest Way in Germantown. They arrived to find a gray Chevrolet Malibu engulfed in flames. As firefighters setup hose lines to extinguish the fire, an officer approached Henriquez, as she was the only non-emergency worker standing outside.
According to charging documents filed in Montgomery County District Court, the cop asked Henriquez if she knew anything about the incident, to which she replied, "I set his car on fire." When the officer asked Henriquez why, she added, "Because he was cheating on me... I should have set his house of fire."
It was revealed that the boyfriend had ended their relationship earlier in the night. The male victim told officers that he went to Henriquez's home to cut ties, at which point she became physical, and so he left. The male victim went on to state his Chevy Malibu was worth approximately $29,000. The car was totaled.
Police arrested Henriquez and took her to the fifth district station for questioning. There she willingly told officers that she purchased lighter fluid and a lighter at a nearby 7-Eleven, hailed an Uber to he ex's home, and then committed the act of arson.
"I put it all over. Front, side, back... I just wanted to do something crazy, a lot of things have been happening to me," Henriquez reportedly told officers.
When asked where she concocted the idea of torching her ex-boyfriend's car, Henriquez added: "I watched this music video and that's when I thought about lighting his car on fire... I hope he never forgets it."
Henriquez is currently behind bars in Montgomery County. She is scheduled to appear in Montgomery County District Court at 10 a.m. on June 3. She faces up to 28 years in prison.
