How Police Rescued Two Kidnapped Salesgirls In Oyo

This was disclosed in a statement released by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, in Ibadan on Wednesday.

The Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command has rescued two individuals who were abducted from an Agro Vet shop in Oke-Are, located in Kajola Local Government Area of the state.

Osifeso said, “The Police is pleased to announce the successful rescue of two salesgirls who were abducted late in the evening of Wednesday, from an Agro Vet shop located at Oke-Are Ilero, Oyo State.

“Following a swift and coordinated operation by the intelligence and tactical assets of the command in concert with local hunters and vigilantes, the girls were located and safely rescued unharmed on Tuesday, 24/06/2025.

“Upon their rescue, the girls underwent a thorough medical examination to ensure their health and well-being and have since reunited with their families.”
He added.

Osifeso explained that efforts were currently ongoing to apprehend the suspects involved in the heinous act.
