Makinde Names Polytechnic Ibadan After Ex-governor, Olunloyo

Dr Olunloyo was the governor of old Oyo State between October and December, 1983.

 
The Polytechnic Ibadan has been named after a former governor of the state, Dr Victor Olunloyo.
 
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State announced the new Institution’s new name on Thursday.
 
Dr Olunloyo was the governor of old Oyo State between October and December, 1983.
 
He was the first indigene of Ibadan to serve as the governor of the state.
 
Olunloyo who also served as rector of the Polytechnic died few weeks ago.
 
Makinde while speaking on Thursday, noted that the institution is to be called Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic, Ibadan.
 
He added that he made the change to honour the former governor.
 
Makinde made the assertion at the state burial ceremony held for the late governor.
