The Akpoko Master, who led a movement of ghetto-leaning music called ‘Street-hop’ in the 2010s, claimed that it was impossible to discuss cultural impact in the Nigerian music industry without mentioning his name.

He made the comment via social media on Wednesday, against the backdrop of the recent conversations about impact and legacies in the Nigerian music industry, fuelled by the rap beef between Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez.

On his X handle, he wrote, “You can’t talk about cultural impact in Nigeria without talking about Terry G. I am the culture!”
