Singer Terry G has addressed critics who believe his music career declined after he rebranded himself as Terry Gzus.

In a recent Instagram post, he shared a bold photo with a caption setting the record straight.

“They say my career ended the day I became Terry Gzus. But let me set the record straight, my journey didn’t end, it was divinely redirected,” he wrote.

He clarified that Gzus is not referring to Jesus Christ but rather “a reflection of the God in me — fearless, chosen, and unapologetic.”

Terry G added, “You don’t kill purpose by changing a name. What’s ordained can’t be cancelled.”
