FG Announces Public Holiday on Monday to Celebrate 2016 Democracy Day

The Federal Government of Nigerian has announced public holiday to celebrate the 2016 Democracy Day all over Nigeria.

 
The Federal Government has declared Monday, May 30, 2016 as a public holiday to celebrate the 2016 Democracy Day. This was announced by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd) on behalf of the Federal Government.
 
In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung, the minister was quoted as saying, “Dambazau congratulates Nigerians on the attainment of one year in office of President Muhammadu Buhari and enjoined all to continue to support the President in his sustained effort in building a peaceful, enduring and democratic legacy.

“The minister wishes all Nigerians a happy Democracy Day celebration.”
