The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has brought truck driver Olamilekan Basit before Justice Abimbola Awogboro at the Federal High Court in Ilorin.

According to a terse statement on the official X handle of the EFCC, Basit was apprehended at Balla, in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, while allegedly transporting the minerals in contravention of existing regulations.
The statement reads: "The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned a truck driver, Olamilekan Basit, before Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Ilorin, for unlawfully transporting assorted solid minerals without proper authorization at Balla, in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State."
