Former Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea has mourned the sad passing of Liverpool star, Diogo Jota.
Jota died in a car accident in Spain as he was travelling in a vehicle with his brother, Andre Silva.
The incident came less than two weeks after Jota married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso.
Daily Mail had reported that the car went off the road on the A-52 in the province of Zamora
De Gea reacted to the incident with a five-word message on Instagram
“Sometimes life is very cruel,” he wrote.
Jota won the Premier League title with Liverpool and went on to lift the Europe Nations League with Portugal.
