Wike took on members of the opposition coalition during his monthly press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike has taken a swipe at former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.
According to Wike, Amaechi did not do anything for the people of Rivers during the eight years he was governor of the state.
Wike said this while taking on members of the opposition coalition during his monthly press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
The coalition on Wednesday decided to operate under the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in their bid to remove President Bola Tinubu from office, through the ballot, in 2027.
Amaechi is one of the leading political figures fronting the coalition, alongside former Governor of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, former Senate President, David Mark, former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and former governor of Anambra, Peter Obi, among others.
Amaechi and Wike have remained political enemies for years, with no peace in sight.
Wike, “Ameachi – what did he do in Rivers? He was a governor in 2015; I defeated him.
“He became a super minister in 2019; I defeated him. In 2023, he supported Atiku; we defeated him.”
