Ex-Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has slammed clubs bidding to buy striker Victor Osimhen for £50 million.
According to him, such an amount is peanut considering the calibre of playing in question.
Ferdinand stated this in an interview with TalkSPORT.
The former England international has been vocal about the Red Devils’ need to bring in an established goalscorer.
However, it appears Osimhen is set to agree a permanent move to Galatasaray having agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants.
“I’m like a broken record. If anyone listens to my podcast, I’ve said Osimhen for a while now,” Ferdinand said.
“I’ve seen today that Galatasaray have put a £50m bid in.
“I mean, £50m to get a top-class striker, one of the top strikers in the world, is absolute peanuts in today’s market.”
