Rev. Fr. Chris Orajiaka, a newly ordained Nigerian Catholic priest who gave up two university degrees and a multimillion-naira business to enter the seminary, celebrated his first Mass last Sunday in Lagos.
During the Mass held at the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki, he presented the maniturgium to his mother.
The maniturgium is a linen cloth used by a newly ordained Catholic priest to wipe the sacred chrism oil from his hands after the anointing during the ordination ceremony.
Rev. Orajiaka was ordained at the Diocese of Tyler, Texas, United States on June 28, 2025.
