The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has raised concerns over alleged cases of double voting in the ongoing local government elections in Lagos State, urging immediate action from electoral authorities.

The PDP insists that unless Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) swiftly addresses these issues, the legitimacy of the entire exercise could be compromised.

Meanwhile, LASIEC officials have commenced vote counting in polling units where elections have been concluded.

For the Chairmanship election at polling unit 033/041: The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) secured 87 votes, Labour Party (LP) 3, PDP- 0. During the Councilorship election for the same polling unit, the APC received 83 votes, LP 3, PDP 3, and YPP 0 votes. Additionally, 10 votes were declared void.
