Kandibe said the late ex-President's decision to seek care abroad sends the wrong message about the state of healthcare in Nigeria.
Dr. Kandibe, the younger sister of Hollywood actor Chiwetel Ejiofor has expressed disappointment that late former President, Muhammadu Buhari didn't improve healthcare in Nigeria while he was president.
She was reacting after Buhari died in a hospital in the United Kingdom.
In a post on her Instagram story on Monday, July 14, Kandibe said the late ex-President's decision to seek care abroad sends the wrong message about the state of healthcare in Nigeria.
“Served as Nigerian president for 8 years! D!ed in a UK hospital. What a shame he couldn't do anything for the state of healthcare in Nigeria…even he carried himself abroad to treat himself. What a message,” the mother of three wrote.
“Patiently waiting for a president that will build systems in Nigeria, that they are proud of will patronage.”
