Suspected Herdsmen K!ll Catholic Church Leader And Prominent Businessman in Benue

The tragic incident, which occurred on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 along the Yogbo–Gungu Aze Road.

 
A Catholic Church leader, Vitalis Kenvanger of St. Albert Catholic Church, Abata, Akeja Zone, Yogbo Mission, in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State has been k!lled.
 
He was k!lled by suspected armed herdsmen on Tuesday,  July 15, 2025 along the Yogbo–Gungu Aze Road.
 
The attack also claimed the life of Dogo Udam, a prominent businessman based in Yogbo. 
 
Their bodies were recovered during a joint search operation carried out by security operatives and local youths in the area.
 
Eyewitnesses revealed that the attackers answered calls from the victims’ mobile phones shortly after the attack, confirming the d3aths to family members.
 
Two others identified as Mr. Iorember Famja and Mama Shiaondo of the Raav Clan remain missing as of the time of this report.
 
It's yet to be determined whether they were k!lled or are hiding in the surrounding bushes to escape the violence.
 
Families are still combing the forests in search of missing loved ones.
